Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Bubi Family app and the family.bubiapps.com pages (the "Service") provided by Bubiapps Bilgi Teknolojileri ARGE Ltd. Şti. (Bubiapps Information Technologies R&D Ltd.) ("BubiApps", "we"). By creating an account you accept these terms. Your personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy and the KVKK Notice; paid features are subject to the Subscription Terms.
1. The Service
Bubi Family lets people who join a "circle" share their location with each other from their own devices and by their own decision, and use features such as places, arrival/departure notifications, low battery alerts, check-in, SOS and chat. Some features depend on a circle-based premium subscription.
2. Age limit
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Creating an account under 13 is not allowed. If you are under 18, use the Service with the knowledge and approval of your parent or guardian.
3. Consent-based sharing rules
Bubi Family is for mutual, consent-based sharing. Therefore:
- Trying to see the location of an adult who has not shared it from their own device and with their own free consent is prohibited. This includes installing the app on another person's device without their explicit consent, creating an account on their behalf, granting permissions for them or trying to hide the sharing notification.
- Adding a spouse, partner or any other adult to a circle to learn their location without their consent, or using the app as a tool of control or pressure, is prohibited.
- Every member can pause sharing, turn it off per circle or leave a circle at any time; trying to prevent this is prohibited.
- A teen aged 13–17 shares location by joining knowingly, with the app visible to them.
- Using shared location for harassment, intimidation, violence or any other unlawful purpose is prohibited and may be reported to the authorities.
If these rules are broken, we may suspend or close the account.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your sign-up details and for keeping your account secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the family.bubiapps.com/delete-account page.
5. User content and chat
You are responsible for the text and photos you share in chat. Sharing unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene content or content that infringes others' rights is prohibited. You can report an inappropriate message or member from the app, block the member or remove them from the circle. We review reported content and remove it, and close accounts, where needed. We process your content only to provide the Service.
6. SOS and safety features
SOS, check-in, Earthquake Mode and other notifications only alert people in your circle. In an emergency, call your local emergency number (such as 112 or 911) first. Timely delivery depends on your device's internet connection, location permissions, battery and operating system settings; we cannot guarantee delivery. Location accuracy varies with the environment.
7. Prohibited use
Reverse engineering the Service, bypassing security measures, collecting data with automated tools, creating accounts for others, overloading the Service or preventing others from using it is prohibited.
8. Intellectual property
The app, brand, design and software belong to BubiApps or its licensors. You receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Paid features
Premium features are offered by subscription. Price, trial, renewal and cancellation rules are in the Subscription Terms.
10. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the Service. This does not limit your rights under consumer law or our liability for intent or gross negligence.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. If you breach these terms we may suspend or close your account; we tell you the reason as far as security allows.
12. Changes
When we change these terms we update the version number and date. We announce material changes in the app in advance and ask for your approval again where required.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees within the statutory monetary limits and to Consumer Courts above them. Turkish law also applies to all other disputes. Mandatory consumer law of your country of residence is not affected.
